Cannabidiol has many positive effects on the human organism. Meanwhile, there is also increasing evidence that suggests that sleep could also benefit. For many people who suffer from persistent or acute sleep disorders, this may be a way to get more sleep and relaxation.
Pain, fears, stress - CBD usually helps
Those who cannot fall asleep or wake up frequently at night usually have reasons for it. Often these are diffuse (or very specific) fears, the stress of everyday life from work and possibly family - or simply pain that is noticeable when lying down. Anyone who has back pain, for example, runs the risk of the pain radiating to other parts of the body, making it even more difficult to fall asleep.
In the meantime, there are first findings from science to what extent the plant-based extraction of CBD stabilizes sleep. CBD has a calming effect on the entire organism, which in the best case scenario shortens the sleep phase enormously and also helps reduce the risk of waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to go back to sleep. In addition, in many cases, CBD has a pain-relieving effect and thus also promotes falling asleep.
CBD can be taken at the same time
Anyone who cannot find sleep will at some point almost despair of the unsuccessful attempt. Many people try it at some point with a soothing tea or - if that doesn't help - with sleeping pills or strong sleeping pills. You could try a gentler alternative like CBD before a desperate situation quickly turns into an addiction to sleeping pills.
You can take
CBD at the same time. A combination with the intake of melatonin can be promising. The body actually produces this hormone itself, but sometimes not in sufficient quantities - then it helps to take melatonin in the form of capsules. The hormone regulates the night-day rhythm and, together with CBD, usually makes you fall asleep and sleep through much better. According to many experience reports, CBD oil is particularly helpful.
What about side effects?
Of course, side effects can never be ruled out, but compared to conventional, possibly strong painkillers, CBD cannot lead to dependence. In addition, the active ingredient is also significantly better tolerated by our organism. A possible side effect of CBD is drying of the oral mucosa, but this only occurs if you have not consumed enough fluids during the day - i.e. before going to sleep. Apart from that, it is often advised to drink enough for good reasons.
Another possible effect: falling blood pressure. As a rule, that's something positive, just not for people who inherently have low blood pressure. Anyone who suffers from this should check the values regularly. And, last but not least: CBD can sometimes make you feel tired and sleepy - which, in view of the sleep problems, should be more of an advantage if you can give in to the feeling of sleepiness.
